1. Introduction

Mualimi Platform Company (شركة منصة معلمي) ("Mualimi", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We process personal data in line with the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

2. Who is responsible for your data

3. Information we collect

  • Account and profile: your name, contact details, role (parent, student, or tutor), and, for parents, the child profiles you create (such as name, grade, school, and subjects).
  • Identity verification: for tutors, and where otherwise required, national identity details and the result of verification, which may be carried out through Nafath.
  • Payment information: processed through our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Bookings and lessons: the subjects, times, formats, locations, and notes related to lessons you book or teach.
  • Location: a tutor's real-time location shortly before and during an in-person lesson, shared with the relevant user so they know when the tutor will arrive.
  • Communications: messages and calls made through the app, and your contact with our support team.
  • Content: reviews and feedback you submit, and reports generated for you, such as session summaries, practice quizzes, and safety reports.
  • Usage and device data: how you use the website and app, and standard device and log information, including cookies on the website.

4. Children's data

Mualimi is used by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. Parents provide and manage their children's information and give consent for its use. We process children's data only to provide the service and to protect their safety, and we apply extra care to it.

5. How we use your information

We use personal data to create and manage accounts; match students with suitable tutors; process bookings, payments, and refunds; verify identity; generate lesson summaries, quizzes, and safety reports; keep lessons safe; communicate with you; improve the Platform; and meet our legal obligations.

6. Our basis for processing

We process personal data on the bases allowed by the PDPL, which may include your consent, the performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interests where these do not override your rights. You can withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

7. Who we share it with

We share personal data with tutors (only as needed to deliver a booked lesson), payment providers, and service providers who help us run the Platform, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

8. Location data

Real-time location is used only around the time of an in-person lesson, so that the relevant user can see the tutor's arrival. It is not used to track anyone outside of that purpose.

9. How reports are generated

To provide features such as session summaries, practice quizzes, and safety reports, we process information about lessons.

10. How long we keep data

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which we delete it or make it anonymous.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights

Under the PDPL you have rights over your personal data, which may include the right to be informed, to access, to request correction, to request deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. 13. Processing outside Saudi Arabia

If any personal data is processed or stored outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we will apply the safeguards required by the PDPL.
